About Krisztina
Krisztina’s odyssey began with an avid interest in travelling to and experiencing new cultures far from her native Hungary. This curiosity took her, in her early twenties, to the doors of the Wudang mountains in China, where she lived and extensively studied Daoism - a philosophical tradition that focuses on genuineness, longevity, health and vitality - and where she deepened her practice in qi gong, tai chi and meditation.
Following this experience, and moving to the UK, Krisztina studied at the esteemed College of Integrated Chinese Medicine, where she received her Licentiate in Acupuncture (Lic Ac) and qualified with a BSc (Hons) in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. Since then, she has been practising Integrated Acupuncture, a combination of Five Element Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
Krisztina has a special interest in understanding how people’s internal worlds - especially their emotions – affect their physical and psychological health. Through the integration of Five Element Acupuncture and TCM, she is able to help patients with an exhaustive list of ailments: from stress and anxiety, gynaecological disorders, fertility, tiredness and insomnia, gut disorders, physical pain to chronic disease. Krisztina is currently completing her Postgraduate programme in Gynaecology, Fertility & Obstetrics.
After spending several years as a health practitioner at clinics in East London, and as a visiting practitioner at wellness resorts in the Maldives, Krisztina moved to Scotland in 2022. Today she lives and practices in Glasgow.
Krisztina Fazekas is a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC), the largest regulatory body for practitioners of acupuncture in the UK, and is bound by the strict professional codes of conduct and safe practice of the BAcC.
